My project supports: Choroideremia Research Foundation

We chose to raise money for the Choroideremia Research Foundation because, having a close family friend with the condition, we have realized what a large impact it can have on those who are facing choroideremia and the progression of it. If you are not familiar with choroideremia, it is a rare inherited disorder that affects the retina of the eyes, causing the progression of vision loss and ultimately resulting in complete blindness. The non-profit organization that we have chosen to support is the largest organization in the world with the goal of finding a cure for choroideremia through their studies and research. With this disorder affecting a good friend of ours, it has encouraged us to get involved in hopes of helping him and others with choroideremia.
