Meet Isabella… She is a nine-year old girl with a passion for furry friends and a love for accessorizing. So what do you get when you put those things together?!? Isabella’s Pet Shop!
About a year ago, Isabella recognized that she wasn’t alone when it came to the desire to accessorize… even accessorizing our beloved pets. She decided to create flower bows and bow ties for animals. To date, Isabella has created more than 200 bows and bow ties. She sells the bows to raise money to help rescue animals in the community. A portion of all sales goes directly to animal rescue groups and humane societies. She has also donated numerous bows to therapy dogs at the local children’s hospital and to dogs at the Humane Society. Her dream is to continue to grow her business while also raising additional funds for local organizations.
I share Isabella’s story today for a few reasons. First, I think we can all agree that Isabella is amazing, right?!? She combined her passion with her desire to make a difference in something that mattered to her. She is committed to the cause, is able to see the impact of her hard work and is learning important business lessons… all while having fun! I also share her story because I’d love for more people to support Isabella on her mission and I would love for her story to inspire others. While Isabella is not a Kids Boost kid (her story began long before we got started), she is a picture-perfect example of the concept of Kids Boost… Kids using their gifts, talents or passions to give back to something that is important to them. Not because they have to – but because they want to!

To Isabella – Amazing job! Keep up the great work and know that you are inspiring so many kids to do great things in the world!
To Isabella’s parents – Kudos on supporting and loving Isabella through her journey. Kids often just need a cheerleader and some logistical support, and clearly you both have given her exactly what she needs to succeed!
